Swansea Local Health Board has a responsibility to work closely with other organisations for example Social Services, the Hospital and Community Lives Consortium to make sure that plans are in place which will improve people's health, as well as the health services available in Swansea.
There are over 240,000 people living in the City and County of Swansea area and the Local Health Board is responsible for co-ordinating health care services for these people. This includes, making sure people know how to find information on doctors, dentists, pharmacists and optometrists in Swansea. There is a full list of these details on our website to help you find the health worker you need in your area.
We also work closely with the local hospitals to make sure that they provide a wide range of health services for the people of Swansea.
Where possible the Local Health Board wants to involve you in our work to improve the NHS services that are provided to you, the patient. If you would like to be involved in any of our future work, please contact Joanne Lane by telephoning 01792 784800.
