Bro Morgannwg NHS Trust provide a specialist health service for people that have a learning disability.
The Trust aims to provide a specialist service that is locally delivered and comprehensive.
In Swansea you can get help and advice from a consultant psychiatrist, community nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech & language therapists
The health staff work very closely with staff in Social Services.
For people who need extra support, there is
- an Assessment & Treatment Unit at Llwyneryr
- a Specialist Community Response Team
If you need help from the health staff, you will need to contact your Care Manager or your GP doctor. The care manager or doctor will refer you to the staff you need help from and ask them to meet you.
